ATMABISWAS promotes renewable energy solutions to reduce carbon footprints and ensure energy accessibility.
ATMABISWAS has worked alongside rural families in Bangladesh since 1991, and access to clean, affordable energy remains one of the clearest dividing lines between households that prosper and households that struggle. Smoke-filled kitchens damage the health of women and children, firewood costs consume scarce income, and communities beyond the national grid are left without dependable electricity. Our green energy work addresses these realities directly, at household level, with practical technology that families can afford, operate and maintain themselves.
Two ATMABISWAS initiatives carry this work forward. Bondhu Chula replaces open-fire cooking with an efficient, low-smoke cookstove, while Souro Shokti brings solar electricity to homes and small businesses the grid has not reached. Together they reduce household expenditure, protect family health, and lower the pressure that firewood collection places on local forests — changing how rural households cook, light and power their daily lives.
A modern, fuel-efficient cookstove built to replace open-fire cooking. Bondhu Chula cuts indoor smoke, protects family health, and eases the daily burden on household budgets and local forests.
Dependable, renewable electricity for communities beyond the reach of the national grid. Souro Shokti lights homes, powers small businesses, and reduces dependence on fossil fuels.
